Mark your calendars friends!! Our 5th Annual Online Holiday Bake Sale is happening Saturday, December 13th and I am already feral with excitement!
For all our cookie rookies here- all the delicious baking will be posted to our Facebook page at 10am. Buyers comment on the item(s) they wish to purchase and I will comment back “SOLD TO _____!” like some kind of festive auction elf.
As always, we’ll be doing local deliveries between Tweed, Madoc, Belleville, and the surrounding areas—because nothing says Christmas spirit like me and Jeff delivering baking in what always seems to be a snow storm 
And yes… we are officially on the hunt for bakers! The more the merrier!!
I know baking supplies cost a small mortgage payment nowadays, so truly — anything you’re able to donate means the world
Every year this event gets bigger, wilder, and somehow even more fun. This is basically Jeff and I’s Super Bowl, except with more sugar and fewer concussions

Adoption Fees:
• Adult Cats: $250 → now $200 (spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested)
• Kittens: $175 → now $125 (covers first & second vaccines + FIV/FELV test)

Tickets are on sale now for our Halloween Raffles! We are raffling off 2 awesome Boo-ze baskets as well as doing a 50/50!
Our bank account is looking a little sad these days, so we are hoping to raise some $$ so we can keep doing our thing.
Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $12. Each basket includes a (maybe not so) healthy amount of booze, 2 stemless glasses and a Halloween F&F shirt (sized for you!). Chester Needs A Foster! ASAP
This love bug needs a foster home, ideally before the long weekend!! I really don’t want this sweet boy to spend 4 days alone when he so clearly deserves all the lovin’!
He tested negative for FIV/Felv and is now neutered😊 (thank you Dr. H for the quick work!)
We are holding off on vaccines for now, giving his antibiotic injection time to do its thing. Poor dude has a tiny hole through his ear (likely from a tooth) and some cuts and scrapes. Other than that he is otherwise healthy and sooooo happy to be inside.
If anyone has space for Chester, please send me an email at friendsandferals@outlook.com! I can drop him off and provide all the necessary foster things (food, litter, box, etc).
YARD SALE 📦
Friends and Ferals will be having a Yard Sale on Saturday May 18th from 9am-3pm at Foxboro Veterinary Hospital (580 Ashley St. Foxboro)
There will be various cat items such as cat beds, carriers etc. as well as cat related household items (signs, picture frames, throw pillows).
There will also be non cat related things; some wedding decorations, clothing, house ware items.
All profits will go directly to the rescue so come on out and check it out if you can! 😊☀️

Friends and Ferals is hosting a spook-tacular event on October 28th @ the Madoc Kiwanis!🕯️
We will be having a Halloween Party fundraiser from 7-12pm. All ages are welcome between 7-9 pm. We will have games and activities for the kiddos as well as hosting our adult friends from 9-12pm. (Meaning yes- there will be BOO-ZE!👻😂)
We will have snacks and drinks for all ages (non-alcoholic) and boozy beverages can be purchased at the bar.
We will be holding a 50/50 and a booze cooler raffle, as well as selling some t-shirts.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids🎟️ We ask that you please purchase your tickets in advance if possible as limited tickets will be available at the door.
COME DRESSED TO IMPRESS🧟♀️ (yes! Wear a costume! There may or may not be a costume contest😉)

ADOPTION EVENT🐾
Saturday December 3rd Lange and Fetter Motors in Trenton is hosting an adoption event for Friends and Ferals and Gigis Cat Rescue Quinte!! 🐱
There will be many adoptable cats and kittens available for snuggles, as well as raffle baskets, Goodie bags donated by Trenton PetValu and more!!
Anyone interested in adopting the DAY OF the event must have an adoption application submitted and pre-approved by November 30th. For all other adoptions we will have applications available to fill out. Lange and Fetter is also covering the adoption fee for 10 cats/kittens, which means 10 lucky adopters will have the chance to win their adoption fee back!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED
We are looking for anyone who is interested in becoming a foster with us.
With the cold weather coming, the amount of messages we’ve been receiving to take in FRIENDLY cats and kittens is overwhelming😓.
Although our plans are to focus mainly on TNR projects, if we can also save some outright friendly kitties in the process, why wouldn’t we at least try?!
Fosters are responsible for providing a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for the cat(s)/kittens(s) being cared for🤍. All food, litter toys, etc are supplied by us as well as any other items that are needed.
Fosters may sometimes be asked to drive to veterinary appointments. 🚗 We always make arrangements based on the fosters schedule as well as the vets schedule.
Ideally fosters would also be comfortable relaying information to future adopters and helping us make arrangements for adoptions. (More of the details can be discussed at a later time).
Fostering can be temporary or more on a long term basis. We are in need of temporary homes for friendly adult cats, friendly kittens, and ones who are comfortable socializing young kittens who are a little on the spicy side 🌶️. Whatever your speed- we can work with you, if you can work with us😊

🤍DONATIONS NEEDED🤍
We would like to start out this post by thanking all of our followers, adopters, fosters, donors and our friends and family for all the support we consistently receive. We’ve been very fortunate over the last several months to have not needed to ask for donations. Although we have scaled back a little over the last bit to focus on personal things, we feel very blessed to have been able to help so many cats and kittens without having to go into personal debt to do so.
Moving forward, Friends and Ferals is hoping to focus more on TNR related projects. For those that don’t know what TNR is; it stands for Trap, Neuter and Release. (More information on our website). This is our standard practice with all truly feral cats, and it our hope to take on more feral cat related rescues in the coming year.
Of course with that comes more costs. With almost each rescue, we will be needing to spay or neuter, which can be significantly more than some of our other younger rescues.
As we start moving forward with our focus being TNR, our funds are already starting to drain. Without donations and the help of our followers and community, we cannot continue doing what we do. We plan on working on some fundraising projects in the coming months, including a 50/50 draw and a Christmas Bake sale, but in the meantime we are looking for a few donations to help get us by until then.
There is no amount that is too small and we appreciate every donation we receive.

💘VALENTINES DAY RAFFLE💘
On February 14th we will be holding a small Valentine’s Day raffle. First prize is a beautiful, never been worn, Pandora bracelet and earrings. Second prize is a bottle of wine, two wine glasses and an amazing two layer carrot cake (which will be made closer the the raffle date).

Celebrating a successful first bake sale for Friends and Ferals!✨
We are blown away by the support from our community, we truly were not expecting to have SO much baking donated, let alone completely SELL OUT! We are so grateful to everyone who purchased goodies, who donated a little extra, and those who simply donated just because. With your help we were able to raise approximately $1425 between the bake sale and donations. We really are blown away and so thankful. This money will help us get the last few cats in our care spayed/neutered, and we can start taking on a few more projects again. We really cannot keep doing what we do without the support of our community and we are ever so grateful for all the love and support we receive. Help us help them 🥰 HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! Cheers 🥂

✨SHADOW✨
Shadow is approximately 5 months old and still looking for her furever home. This girl came from our feral cat colony at Moira Place. Trapped at about 12 weeks old, Shadow was very scared, but with time and patience, she came around. She is still timid with strangers and new surrounding, but once she warms up, she is so snuggly. This playful girl would do well in any home with other cats and/or (gentle) children.

This beautiful girl is still looking for her furever home! Sage is approximately 6 months old and has been in foster care with her siblings Fern and Ivy since they were about 8 weeks old. She has come SO far from being the terrified little girl that she once was. Although she is still timid, she has lots of love to give! Sage is getting spayed on the 7th, and will be ready to rock around the Christmas tree after that!! Please consider opening your hearts and your homes so this girl (and her siblings) can find a furever home before the holidays ❤️💚❤️

FUNDRAISING BAKE SALE 🍪🧁🍰
We have decided to hold an online bake sale fundraiser on Saturday December 18th! All goodies will be collected on the Friday and we will be posting pictures of everything available that night. People can comment or message what items they are interested in purchasing. We will be doing local drop offs (depending on the area) or arrangements for pick-ups can also be made.
We are in desperate need of some funding right now and are really hoping this Bake Sale can help cover some of the vet bills we are needing covered.
