FAQs and Policies

Here are some questions we are frequently asked, as well as some policies we have in place. If you have any questions about any of these, please send us an email.

Q: What is your adoption fee?
Our adoption fees vary depending on age. Adoption fees can be found on our Adopt Us page

Q: What does your adoption fee cover?
All information on what our adoption fees cover can also be found on our Adopt Us page

Q: Where are you located?
We do not have a physical location. Although we would love to have a storefront, that is not feasible at this time. Currently, all our cats and kittens are kept in foster homes between the Belleville and Tweed area.

Q: If you don’t have an actual location, how can I see the cats?
You can check out our Adopt Us page on our website, as well as our social media pages; Facebook and Instagram. All available cats and kittens are listed here. Meet and greets can be arranged with the foster once an adoption application has been filled out and approved.

Q: How far will you travel for a rescue?
Although we truly would drive to the end of the world to save every kitty if we could, our time and resources are extremely limited and we have to set certain boundaries. We are located in Tweed and our focus is Centre Hasting. Our kilometer radius is 40km any direction outside of Tweed.

Q: Do you help people who cannot afford vet care?
No. We only cover the costs for the cats in our care.

Q: Do you help rehome pets?
No.

Q: Do you help fix stray/feral/barn cats?
Yes. *Please note that any cats brought into our care are considered our responsibility for the duration of their care. This means our rescue will make all medical and health decisions as deemed necessary. Once healthy and ready, they will be returned to their original barn or colony if appropriate.

Q: Do you have a return policy on adoptions?
In the event that an adoption doesn’t work out, we will always accept the return of any cat adopted through our rescue. Regardless of the reason or the length of time since adoption, our cats remain our responsibility, and they are always welcome to return to our care.
*After 30 days, no refund will be given on the adoption fee.

Q: Do you relocate stray/feral cats?
Not at this time.

Q: Where do you release your TNR cats?
With all TNR projects, cats are released back at the location in which they were trapped- unless unsafe/unfit circumstances. This decision will be made by Friends and Ferals. Individuals requesting help with feral cats/TNR projects are surrendering their right to decide where these cats are released. Anyone requesting help with TNR must be willing to provide food and shelter for said cats after their release, and do their best to ensure their well-being for the remainder of the cats life to the best of their abilities. WE DO NOT RELOCATE CATS. (Unless 100% necessary)

In addition to these questions we’d also like to make it clear that we have a strict NO DECLAWING policy for ALL our adoptions. In absolutely NO circumstance do we agree with declawing. We also make it clear in our adoption contract that all our cats must remain as INDOOR ONLY. This is also non negotiable.
