Ozzy is a sweet boy with a spicy side. He came into care as a terrified wee kitten, trapped in the rescue founders backyard. Although so young, he was considered a candidate for TNR based on his temperament. To say he was a spitfire would be an understatement. We were unable to touch him without him lunging and spitting at us, which made placing him extra challenging.
Due to his age and tiny size, a generous foster home agreed to take him in and work with him.
Over a year later, Ozzy has turned into a wonderful boy who has a zest for life. He has come such a long way from the feral kitten he once was, but still can have moments where he shows his spicier side. Ozzy does NOT enjoy being picked up or restrained. He prefers affection on his own terms, and truly would prefer if you left him alone until he seeks you out for attention.

More about Ozzy

Affection level: Low but continues to improve
Energy level: High energy and requires a lot of stimulation.
Likes: Playing with toys and other cats. Interactive toys that makes noise are a must. Crinkle balls are a favorite. Very food motivated. Loves spaghetti and stealing Crocs (the shoes)
Dislikes: Being picked up, restrained and “fussed with”.
Around children: Good with older kids. Children who understand and respect boundaries
Around other pets: Great with other cats. Fine with small-medium cat-friendly dogs
Ideal Home Life: He will need a home that will be willing to work with him at his own pace to earn his trust and affection. With lots of play and food motivation, his heart can be won over (did someone say spaghetti?).
He needs at least one other feline friend that will interact and play with him and lots of space to roam and run. Cat trees to climb would also be ideal for him.

Health and Medical

Ozzy has no medical issues that we are aware of and has no apparent dietary restrictions. He is currently up-to-date on his Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. He is FIV/FeLV Negative. He is ear tipped.
